The pan-European digital financial service champion for established SMEs is heavily investing in its further expansion after the successful launch of the business in the Netherlands and Finland last year. After reporting a 44% increase in portfolio size in the Netherlands last quarter, Thorsten Seeger has joined the company to further accelerate this growth.

Thorsten Seeger is an adviser for International Growth and Strategy at smeGo and SME Bank. Before joining smeGo and SME Bank, he was the Group COO of October. Before that the Managing Director of Funding Circle Germany, where he built a market-leading small business lending proposition. Earlier in his career, he spent 10 years in the traditional banking sector in the UK. At Barclays, he held various front-office leadership roles, including Head of Relationship Banking (London) and Commercial Director for SME Banking and at Lloyds Banking Group he was responsible for Financial Markets products and their distribution to SME customers.
Thorsten holds an MBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai.
